EXPO 2020 DUBAI

With more of 180 countries, all with their own pavilion and the focus topic "Connecting Minds and Creating the Future’ through sustainability, mobility and opportunity, Expo 2020 Dubai has been the first international event hosted in the United Arab Emirates. Originally scheduled from October 2020 to April 2021, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and officially opened on 30 September 2021and closed on 31 March 2022. Exploring humankind’s relationship with nature and innovative solutions to reduce our carbon footprint and environmental impact, many of the pavilions met the highest available accreditation for sustainable architecture and showed how architecture can elaborate strategies for a sustainable living.
